Dating partner preferences: A function of similarity of love styles. Hahn, Jennifer; Blass, Thomas; Journal of Social Behavior & Personality, Vol 12(3), Sep 1997. pp. 595-610. [Journal Article]

The hypothesis of homogamy (i.e., the mating of similar individuals) with regard to the 6 love styles identified by J. A. Lee (1973, 1977) was investigated. The 6 love styles examined were: Storge (companionate love), Agape (selfless love), Mania (possessive, dependent love), Pragma (practical love), Ludus (game-playing love), and Eros (passionate love). 152 male and female undergraduate students (aged 18-41 yrs) indicated their preferences for 6 bogus stimulus people (reflecting each of the 6 love styles) presented in transcribed interview format. The Love Attitudes Scale (C. Hendrick & S. Hendrick, 1986) was used to assess participants' levels of endorsement of the 6 love styles. Correlational analyses revealed that, in general, participants did prefer stimulus people similar to themselves on love style, supporting the hypothesis of homogamy. Furthermore, the most consensually desired love styles were Storge and Agape. The least consensually desired was Ludus. No differential preferences by gender were found. The findings are discussed in terms of the implications for mate selection. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2007 APA, all rights reserved)

Kenneth,

You mentioned that I just needed to get the source info from this page, but are all the sources you have listed ones that you actually have, and ones that I should cite?
